  • Contact the Social Security Administration to end benefits received by the deceased (if disabled or retired) and to determine if benefits are available to the surviving spouse and dependent children.
  • Send proper documentation to the HR Operations Team by submitting a service request in HR Link under the benefits category. The HR Operations Team will initiate a life insurance claim if necessary.
  • Update your life insurance beneficiary, if necessary.
  • Update your retirement plan beneficiary, if necessary.
  • Update your tax withholdings in HR Link.
  • Update your direct deposit, if necessary, by logging in to UKG from The HOP or by visiting HR Link.
